OK! Here’s the deal! This trip is not totally planned, I think a day before we decided to push through this sweet escape away from the busy buzz of Manila,in just ONE DAY!
As Kathy and I planned, our meeting time and place is in MRT North Ave at around 7:30 am.By that we will ride at the train and alight in Taft Avenue then from their we will ride a bus going to Nasugbu/Tagaytay bound. By exactly 10am, we rode off and the time travel was one and half hour. 11:30 am,we just arrived at the Tagaytay City proper.Because we didn’t take our breakfast and we are very and it’s nearly lunchtime,we decided to take our brunch at Mang Inasal before we start our exploration.
After eating,we decided to go first at Sky Ranch..one of the Tagaytay’s Newest Amusement Park. We didn’t expect that it was not yet fully developed. But for us ,we didn’t mind the place. We only want to see and try the so called SKY EYE! It was the tallest among the three (one in EK and the other is in MOA).From atop you can see the view of Batangas proper and afar the beauty of Taal Volcano. The ride’ cost for about 150php per head for about 30 mins, bit bored up there but oh well! We just want to try it! Other rides are just, well like in EK. Another extreme adventures we saw was the Bungee Jumping and Zipline.
After visiting the Sky Ranch,we decided again to try the famous restaurant/coffee shop and pastries…which is Bag of Beans. Well, because we just ate ang hour ago,I told Kathy to try only their signature coffees and pastries. Kathy ordered banana float and for me Iced Machiatto and mixed fruit in a pie. As what we researched, truly the ambiance of the restaurant is very nice, cozy and a place to take some rest after touring around. Here are some of the pics.
Because we have only a limited time to roam around Tagaytay,we didn’t stay long at the resto even we want to.So we rode off to jeepney going to People’s Park in the Sky. As what I remembered when I was young the park was just nice to feel the breezy air when your atop of it,but on my dismay the park now was just an area of most likely for runners. I think the government didn’t take care of it. You’ll just see..again..from afar the Taal Volcano and on the other side is the Mt.Makiling. We didn’t waste much time on this place so we decided to go to Picnic Grove. Oh by the way.we just do our quick drop at the church of Ina ng Laging Saklolo (a huge image of Our Lady of Lourdes in front).
From there,we just rushed to Picnic Grove.Unlike Peoples Park in the Sky, Picnic Grove is much more good to visit because they just add up the newest extreme adventure, The Zipline and Cable Car riding. And also the Tree Trailing.
Because first timers, I convinced Kathy to try their Zipline even though Im too nervous to do so. Well,as a traveller and excitement was all over Kathy, we tried the Zipline. And YES!!! We survived the 30 secs hanging in the rope and do the zipline. As what we expected it was so overwhelming to conquer our fear in heights! And We want to do again and again!!!
Immediately after trying the extreme zipline adventure, we rode off and alight at the main point of Tagaytay and try to catch the Taal Volcano trekking but unfortunately our time didn’t permitted us to do so because its getting dark already. So we decided to pull it off. Indeed! It was a fun filled day full of happiness and memorable things, pictures and experiences in Tagaytay! And I promised that we will go back there!
