I know most of us are still in shocked to what happened in the world for about six months already or should I say nearly 7 months already and still counting. This Corona Virus pandemic crisis give us our entire world to become more vigilant, mindful and focusing on our health issues. Even our daily work was affected so it is hard to regain what we had before that. A good example of this, is my self. I am on vacation here in the Philippines for about a month but unfortunately I was stranded here due to this pandemic crisis. It was pretty good for the first 1 month that I am stuck here because I’m still enjoying staying with my family but as the months passed by it is not healthy already. Why? Expenses are getting bigger and as one of the breadwinner who is supplying the monthly living expenses of my family I have nothing to produce because I don’t have any job for the time being. I am also got bored most of the time because I am a workaholic person and I cannot stay for too long without not being busy.
So, what I did to become busy is that I tried to do basic baking and cooking lessons via Youtube. And I should say that for being a first timer the foods that I cooked are not that bad and my family like it too.
I enrolled myself to short online classes via TESDA. And I started to learn some languages thru Duolingo apps so I can enhance my skills in different languages.
Read some books that I haven’t touched since I went for abroad and that enlightens me on how to focus on life.
Helping my mom sell her stuff to have an extra income since it is on pandemic state. and at that same time being a babysitter for my 1 year old nephew.( tita’s and tito’s can relate surely to me watching Cocomelon and Chuchu TV.)hehehe
And lastly, binge watching Kdrama and Thai Series that up until now if Im not in the mood to do the one I mention above I am watching it the whole day.
So, what are the things I learned at this time?
Number one, I learned that everything is not what you always expect. Unexpected things happen to anybody. Work harder and eventually save harder because you will never know what will come to you.
Number two, know your responsibility as a citizen. If the government cannot supply enough help to medical professionals, you as a concerned citizen help them by staying in the house, if it is not needed to go outside. Extend help by taking care of yourself and the health of your family.
Number three, you should prioritize your health rather than anything you want.
So, that wraps up on things that I learned during the pandemic time. How about you? What did you learn or experienced during this pandemic crisis?
